Propeller Launches React2 as the Next Generation of Speech and Language Therapy
Scottish borders-based Propeller Multimedia Ltd, the UK's leading provider of speech and rehabilitation software, has joined forces with speech and language therapists from NHS Borders to create and design React2.
Incorporating five modules and approximately 8000 exercises, React2 offers those living with the consequences of stroke or other brain related injuries, the most comprehensive computer-aided rehabilitation therapy available.
Its predecessor, React1, was originally launched in 1998 and swiftly became the leading product for speech and language rehabilitation and available to therapists and private individuals throughout most English speaking countries. Now with React2, the program has now been completely revised and updated and represents a quantum leap forward to equip therapist, clinicians and home users with the widest possible range of content.
Every exercise within the React2 program has been carefully graded in both the use of vocabulary and task complexity. The five modules contained within React2 - auditory processing, visual processing, semantics, memory sequencing and the newly introduced Life Skills module - are also available individually.
Gordon Russell, managing director of Propeller Multimedia Ltd comments;
"Improvement in self esteem and motivation is just as important as an improvement in a patient's condition. We know from the feedback we received from SLT's and many of our users, that the modular approach is user-friendly at every level, which helps instill confidence.
Ultimately, our goal is to continually enhance the product suite to create better interaction between therapist and client. We want to make a real difference to the user's rehabilitation.
As the prognosis of each patient varies from the very mild to the severe, React2 is the benchmark for the new generation of rehabilitation software which ensures progress is consistent whether working with a therapist or at home at a pace that is geared to the individual's needs."
The exercises built into React2 have been carefully constructed into varying levels of difficulty and randomised to suit the exact needs of each client. The built-in result analysis module allows progress to be closely monitored with an option to print out a spreadsheet for further analysis if required.
React2 is available on a monthly or annual subscription basis to bring top quality, professional speech therapy software to the home user in a financial payment plan which suits the user. Monthly payments are £9.95, or an annual subscription paid in advance is priced at only £114.95. Propeller has also introduced multi-user licences for therapists and teaching teams.
